Joe Gage

Originally from Montana, Joe Gage’s roots trace back to the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains, where his family were among the earliest homesteaders in the late 1800s. While he moved to Texas in his twenties, sight unseen, Joe quickly fell in love with the Lone Star State’s charm and welcoming community. Today, he lives in Dripping Springs with his partner of many years, their five dogs, and a shared passion for adventure.

Before transitioning to real estate, Joe worked as an accountant, a role that taught him the importance of precision, fiduciary responsibility, and always acting in the client’s best interest. Inspired by his own parents’ success in building wealth through real estate, Joe entered the field to help others achieve their goals, whether lifestyle or investment-focused. Known for his honest, straightforward demeanor and advisory approach, Joe thrives on providing his clients with expertise and guidance, ensuring they feel confident and supported.

Joe’s love for Texas and Austin, in particular, stems from the perfect mix of Hill Country’s outdoor adventures and the city’s vibrant urban lifestyle. In his free time, you’ll find him exploring the Hill Country, relaxing with his dogs on his six-acre property, or planning his next adventure in his newly upgraded Airstream. Whether embarking on an international trip or an RV road trip across the country, Joe treasures time spent with his partner and their shared love for travel.

Why is it important to you to partner with a local brokerage?

For some agents, it’s all about 100% commission. For me, true value is finding a place where I can do my best work and grow my business.

What is your favorite local spot and why?

My favorite local spot is the Downtown Austin Public Library. It’s a dynamic space filled with energy and a cross-section of people—school kids, artists, professionals, and everyone in between. It’s an inspiring place for people-watching and connecting with Austin’s community.

Is there a local cause that is important to you?

I volunteer with Meals on Wheels every Thursday. In those brief interactions, I’m often met with smiles and gratitude, which always leaves me feeling like I got the better end of the exchange. It’s a small effort with a big impact, and it truly feeds my soul.
