Debbie Marett has proudly called Central Texas home since moving to Austin in 1979 from Westchester County, New York. A graduate of Syracuse University with a background in Fine Arts and Art Education, Debbie originally trained to be an educator before discovering her true passion in real estate. Having witnessed firsthand the incredible growth and transformation of the Austin area over the past four decades, she brings clients a deep understanding of the region’s neighborhoods, culture, and evolving market. While New York will always be where her story began, Debbie considers herself a true Texan.
Before launching her real estate career in 2005, Debbie and her husband owned and operated several restaurants across Texas, including locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. As a small business owner, she developed the patience, communication skills, organization, and work ethic that continue to define her approach as an agent today. Inspired by her father, a highly successful broker in California, Arizona, and Texas, Debbie ultimately followed his encouragement to pursue real estate—a decision she only wishes she had made sooner. Known for her strong communication, attention to detail, and service-first mindset, Debbie has built a business largely through repeat clients and referrals. She prides herself on being a trusted guide, skilled negotiator, and steady resource for her clients throughout every step of the process.
Debbie and her husband, Rod, have been married for 44 years and are proud parents of three grown children, including two married daughters and a son. They were recently blessed with a granddaughter who will turn three this June. Outside of work, Debbie enjoys gardening, staying active, participating in women’s Bible study, spending time with her neighborhood community, and gathering regularly with family for movie nights. Whether she’s working out with friends, volunteering locally, or helping clients navigate major life decisions, Debbie values meaningful relationships and staying connected to the community she loves.
