Rita Little-Byrd is a lifelong Austinite who was born and raised in the city and has lived throughout many of its neighborhoods. She feels fortunate to call Austin home and appreciates the many communities and experiences that make the city unique. From its trees, trails, and wildlife to its artists, musicians, and famously eclectic spirit, Rita loves that there is a place for everyone in Austin.
Before beginning her real estate career, Rita spent 12 years as an accounting manager for a CPA firm, where she developed a strong foundation in financial compilation and analysis. She brings that financial expertise to her work as a REALTOR®, helping clients navigate one of the most significant financial decisions they will make. Rita became interested in real estate after buying and selling her first two homes herself and realizing firsthand the value of professional guidance. After encouraging a friend through a home purchase, she had a lightbulb moment and became licensed, beginning her career as a full-time agent. Known for her patience, understanding, and determination, Rita goes to great lengths to overcome obstacles and ensure her clients feel supported throughout the process.
Rita lives in southwest Austin with her husband, their son, and two dogs. After spending many years on the east side, she still enjoys visiting and staying connected to the neighborhood she once called home. Outside of real estate, Rita loves spending time with her family, hiking, reading, playing games, walking through her neighborhood, and chatting with neighbors. She also enjoys yoga and is always looking for ways to do more of it.
