Laura brings a rich tapestry of life experiences to her real estate practice. Originally from College Park, just north of Downtown Orlando, Florida, Laura grew up immersed in her family’s multi-generational business. She moved to Austin in 1992 with her husband, Robbie, whose engineering career brought them to this vibrant city. Captivated by Austin’s outdoor lifestyle, Lake Travis sailing, and live music scene, they planted roots, raised their family, and embraced life in Central Texas.

Before entering real estate, Laura’s career spanned accounting, education, and art. She spent a decade in accounting before focusing on raising and homeschooling her three children. As an educator and artist, she ran a home-based pottery studio and organized educational co-ops, honing leadership and problem-solving skills. Since transitioning to real estate in 2017, Laura has leveraged her entrepreneurial spirit and community-driven mindset to expertly guide clients through life’s transitions.

In her free time, Laura enjoys gardening, hiking, and swimming. She cherishes time with Robbie, her husband of 34 years, and their three adult children. As a skilled artist, she creates functional and intricate pottery in her home studio and explores other mediums, including stained glass, quilting, painting, and fabric arts.

Why is it important to you to partner with a local brokerage?

This is my home, my community, where I have a strong connection to the people in my community. I am passionate about people, friendship, and our connections to one another. I partnered with a brokerage that has a strong local connection to help the community continue to thrive and grow.

What is your favorite local spot and why?

My favorite places are on the trail or in the water, which is why I enjoy Zilker Park and Barton Springs trails. There is so much to see and do within this oasis in the city. Swimming in the springs, hiking the trail, splashing in the creek, catching a concert, a musical, or attending a festival—the diversity of activity in one park in the center of the city is exhilarating.

Is there a local cause that is important to you?

It's the people in the community that make life here wonderful and fulfilling. I have been sharing my time to support and enrich the people in my community through volunteering with Meals on Wheels of Central Texas for 10 years. I love the connections that have developed by being present each time I deliver a smile and a meal.
