We worked with the Hume Rost Group for the last half year. Our family had decided to sell the family home of 20 years in Hutto where our mother was living alone. In the ocean of real estate agents in the Austin metro, we’re so blessed to have found these professionals. Given the type of the property (rural, with land) and the ever-changing real estate market, it took longer than we expected to sell the home. But Jane and Erin knew exactly what to do every step of the way and advised and educated the whole family so we could make right decisions. While it was a long, difficult process, they were also emotionally supportive of mom when we kids couldn’t be there - always calm and fair. Jane is a friend of my sister from her days in New Mexico and when my sister and her husband sold their house, Jane was their realtor. So when I told my sister we were moving to Austin area, she was so happy to connect me with Jane. Our dealings with Jane and Erin have been superb. They make a great team and are more than professional and helpful. Erin spent two sessions with us at our design center making selections for our home and was incredibly helpful. We now refer to our kitchen as Erin’s room! She helped us make choices that we may not have on our own and not one person comes in to our home who does not compliment us on the tile, cabinetry, etc. When we receive those compliments, we do mention that we had a bit of “help”. Erin and Jane were at our disposal any time we needed them and were especially helpful during the inspection process with their independent inspector. We are very grateful that we had such a competent team and would recommend them to anyone.

We have been with our realtor Erin for over 2 yrs. It sounds crazy that it has been that long, but the entire experience has been wonderful. Not only is she professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, but she is also kind-hearted and down to earth. She is Aunty Erin to our girls! We moved from New York City to Austin and met Erin during our planning phase. She was a great resource to have while trying to pick locations, schools, new build vs. purchasing, and navigating the surrounding areas. Even when our move was delayed due to our daughter's surgeries, she continued to stay in touch just to check up on her. Once we were able to get back on track, she hit the ground running. We finally decided on a new build. Picking a lot unseen sounds crazy to most people, but we had Erin! She scouted different lots and videotaped them from all angles. In the end, we went with her recommendation for the lot, and it was the best thing we could have done. She was our representative at every meeting throughout the building process, which allowed us to attend virtually. She advocated for us when necessary and made sure we had answers in a timely manner. The most amazing part is all of this was happening during COVID! We will forever be grateful for her help and guidance. Moving and building a new house with 2 small children in the middle of COVID would be a recipe for disaster, but Erin made it so easy. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Most of the dust has settled from our move to Austin, and we continue to say 'what a great house!' thanks to Jane and Erin. From our first phone call with them, we knew we'd found the right match to help us find our new home in Austin. Moving here from NC, we had lots of concerns. We worried about schools, commute times, local activities, where to shop and where to find the best tacos. We spent almost a full week with Erin driving us all over Austin, familiarizing us with what each area had to offer and answering our questions. When our house hunting trip came to a close, we found a house that felt like it would meet our needs and we made an offer. Most agents would have stopped there. But Erin kept looking, calling to tell us about an even better house that was just about to come on the market. And she was right. The first house didn't pass inspection, and we were first in line with an offer for the second house. With lots of strategizing the offer was accepted before the house went on the market. Honestly, I've never had a better customer service experience in real estate than I have with Jane Hume and Erin Rost. I've been working with them for many years. We recently closed on our new home in Dripping Springs, TX in a very short two-week window thanks to the exceptional and efficient work of Erin Rost. Two years ago, we knew that we would need to relocate to the Austin area, and we were encouraged by our local agent in Fort Lauderdale to work with Realty Austin. We interviewed a few different Realtors from different realty companies and felt that Erin Rost was the best choice. After meeting her in person she consistently reached out to us for about a year and a half while we waited for our home to sell in South Florida. She subsequently answered all our inquiries and sent us frequent updates about your local market here so that we could be more educated on the Austin Hill Country targeted area. Because our home sold to a cash buyer and closed in only two weeks, our time to find and buy was equally short to avoid renting a place in between residences. In this area, Erin also delivered us with a perfectly targeted plan of action enabling us to see 38+ homes in 3 consecutive days from Spicewood to Bear Creek. She applied our lists of wants and needs and really made us feel each home visited had the potential to work well for us. She was sensitive to our needs, engaging, and made us laugh along the way infusing our ride with local knowledge, trends and features to value as we come from a market with homes built for hurricanes not panoramic views and valleys. Educating us on the faster than normal tempo of your market, she prepared us well for placing a competitive bid with subsequent counter offers to drop the price down. For the walkthrough, Erin arrived with the 27 pages of inspection fixes
needed for final inspection all printed out and ready to go. In this final phase of the buy, Erin really exceeded expectations again and was such a great advocate for us to make everything perfect in the physical sense of the house composition and the paper trails to wrap it all up. Erin, with Jane's backup support, made us confident we bought the best house for us to make our home.
